Guardian Overview
The Guardian Portal gives parents and guardians a dedicated view into their children's academic journey on BeamEdUp. Guardians can monitor exams, track performance trends, view certificates, and manage notification preferences — all from a single dashboard.
Dashboard Overview
When a guardian logs in, they land on the Guardian Dashboard. The dashboard provides quick action buttons to navigate to key sections. A child selector at the top lets guardians switch between linked children to view their individual data.
My Children
View all linked children with their class, section, and current academic status. Switch between children using the child selector.
Performance
Monitor average scores, total exams taken, study hours, and subject-wise performance breakdowns with progress bars.
Settings
Manage account details, notification preferences, privacy controls, and display preferences like language and theme.
Linking Children
Children are linked to guardian accounts by organization or branch admins during user creation. Guardians cannot add or remove children themselves — this is managed administratively for security.

Admin creates learner account
The organization or branch admin creates a learner account and specifies the guardian's email or user ID in the parent/guardian field.

Guardian receives access
The guardian account is automatically linked. The guardian can view the child in Settings → My Children.

Switch between children
If multiple children are linked, use the child selector dropdown in the guardian layout header to switch context.
What Guardians Can See
- Upcoming and completed exams — scheduled dates, subjects, durations, scores, and pass/fail status
- Performance analytics — average score, total exams taken, study time, and subject-wise breakdowns
- Certificates — earned certificates with verification badges and issue dates
- Report cards — downloadable report cards generated by the institution
What Guardians Cannot Do
- Create, edit, or delete exams
- Modify grades or exam results
- Add or remove linked children
- Access other students' data
- Change class assignments or enrollments
