Learner

The Learner role is for students who take exams, use study tools, and track their academic progress. Learners have access to a rich set of learning features including exam-taking, flashcards, practice tests, gamification, and certificates.

What Learners Can Do

  • Take Exams — View assigned exams, start exam sessions, answer questions, and submit responses. Supports both online and offline mode
  • View Results — See scores, grades, and detailed answer breakdowns after results are published
  • Study Tools — Create and study flashcard decks, write notes, take practice tests, and participate in peer review
  • Gamification — Earn points, unlock achievements and badges, maintain streaks, and compete on leaderboards
  • Certificates — View and download certificates earned from completed exams and achievements
  • Typing Practice — Improve typing speed and accuracy with Typing Master tests and track progress
  • Study Groups — Create or join study groups to collaborate with classmates on shared subjects
  • Profile — Update personal information, change password, and manage notification preferences

Exam Experience

During an exam, learners have access to:

  • Question Navigation — Move between questions, mark questions for review, and see progress indicators
  • Auto-Save — Answers are automatically saved as you progress. No data lost on browser crashes
  • Timer — Countdown timer for timed exams with warnings at configurable intervals
  • Offline Mode — Take downloaded exams without internet. Answers sync when back online

Learner Dashboard

The learner dashboard provides a personalized overview:

  • Upcoming exams with dates and time remaining
  • Recent results and performance trends
  • Gamification stats: points, rank, streak, and badges
  • Quick access to study tools and practice tests
  • Announcements from instructors and administrators

Limitations

  • Cannot create, edit, or delete questions or exams
  • Cannot view other learners' results (only their own)
  • Cannot access admin dashboards, settings, or analytics
  • Cannot manage users, classes, or branches
