Notification Settings
Notification settings let each user control what alerts they receive and how they receive them. Configure notification types and delivery channels to stay informed without being overwhelmed.
Notification Types
BeamEdUp sends notifications for the following events. Each can be individually enabled or disabled:
- Exam Assignments — Notifies learners when a new exam is assigned to them or their class
- Exam Results — Alerts when exam results are published, including score and grade
- Announcements — Organization-wide or branch-specific announcements from admins
- Reminders — Upcoming exam reminders, assignment deadlines, and schedule changes
Delivery Channels
Receive notifications via email. Covers all notification types including exam results, reminders, and announcements.
Push Notifications
Browser and mobile push notifications for real-time alerts. Requires allowing notifications in browser settings.
SMS
Text message notifications for critical alerts. Requires a valid phone number on your profile.
Configuring Notifications

Navigate to Notification Settings
Go to Settings → Notifications from the sidebar.

Configure Notification Types
Toggle on or off the notification types you want to receive: Exam Assignments, Exam Results, Announcements, and Reminders.

Choose Delivery Methods
Enable your preferred delivery channels: Email, Push, and SMS. Each can be toggled independently.

Save Preferences
Click Save to apply your notification preferences. Changes take effect immediately.
Role-Specific Notifications
Different roles receive different default notifications:
- Admins — System alerts, new user registrations, subscription changes, and organization-level events
- Instructors — New submissions, grading reminders, and class announcements
- Learners — Exam assignments, result publications, and study reminders
- Guardians — Child's exam results, attendance alerts, and progress reports
