Certificates & Achievements
BeamEdUp rewards learner progress through certificates, achievements, badges, and gamification features. These tools motivate learners, recognize accomplishments, and provide tangible proof of competence.
Certificates
Certificates are formal documents that can be issued to learners upon completing exams or achieving specific results. The Organization Portal includes a certificate management section accessible from the sidebar under the learner area.
- Automatic Issuance — Instructors or admins can configure exams to automatically issue certificates when a learner passes
- Custom Templates — Organizations can design certificates using the Certificate Designer (see Addon Features). Templates support custom text, images, QR codes, signatures, and decorative borders
- Template Elements — Certificates can include text elements, images, QR codes for verification, digital signatures, lines, and shapes (rectangles, circles, ellipses) — all positioned with drag-and-drop precision
- Orientation & Size — Templates support portrait or landscape orientation in A4, Letter, or custom dimensions
Gamification Dashboard
The Gamification section (accessible from the sidebar) provides a comprehensive dashboard showing your points, achievements, streaks, and badges. A level badge at the top shows your current level, calculated from your total points.
Points
Earn points for completing exams, maintaining streaks, and achieving milestones. Points accumulate toward your total score and contribute to leaderboard rankings.
Achievements
Unlock achievements by reaching specific goals — such as completing a set number of exams, scoring above a threshold, or maintaining a streak. A ring progress indicator shows your overall achievement completion percentage.
Streaks
Your current streak tracks consecutive days of activity. The dashboard also displays your longest streak ever. Stay active daily to build and maintain your streak.
Badges
Collect badges for special accomplishments. Badges are visible on your profile and represent notable milestones in your learning journey.
Leaderboard & Rankings
The gamification dashboard includes two ranking views:
- Global Rank — Your position among all learners in your organization, based on total points
- Class Rank — Your position within your specific class, encouraging friendly competition with classmates
A dedicated Leaderboard page shows the full rankings with usernames, points, and positions. The Achievements page lists all available achievements with your progress toward each one. The Points page shows your transaction history — each point earned, the reason, and when it was awarded.
